What's new?

Thanks so much for participating in the Birdie Brothers Golf Tournament, our annual "Fun"-raising event benefiting Gethsemane Lutheran Children's Ministry. We had a wonderful day, just a little bit of rain, and some birdies. We raised over $7500 thanks to our sponsors and golfers.

Our mission

The Gethsemane Lutheran Children’s Ministry (GLCM) is designed to meet the needs of children through an inclusive preschool program that offers a variety of activities and expressions while providing an environment which emphasizes the basic Christian values of love, trust, peace, cooperation, and respect. GLCM is a safe and affirming environment that promotes acceptance of all children and families.

Facility

We proudly offer four playgrounds, a gymnasium, and a hot kitchen. Here are more details about our facilities.

Infants’ Playground

The rubberized play surface area has a canopy to provide the perfect outdoor environment for our tiniest schoolchildren.

Toddlers’ Playground

Our toddler playground is equipped with bucket swings, a sandbox castle, and slides. There are multi-surface play areas, an outdoor toybox for rotating toys, and a large shade tree.

Two-Year-Old’s Playground

The children have an area for climbing, riding bouncy toys, and outdoor dramatic play.

Big Kids’ Playground

Digging areas, a bike path, a beautiful shade tree, and a large playscape provide the children with many activities from which to choose. Our outdoor curriculum is incorporated into monthly themes.

Gymnasium

In addition to our outdoor facilities, we have a regulation-sized gymnasium that gives the children room to release extra energy on cold, hot, or rainy days. The children have a variety of balls, riding toys, and other resources and activities available to them.

Hot Kitchen for Healthy Meals and Snacks

We have a complete kitchen facility that allows us to offer nutritious hot and cold meals and snacks during a child’s stay with us. A morning snack is served between 8:30am and 9:00am. A multi-cultural selection of hot lunches is served every day at 11:30am, and a light afternoon snack is provided after quiet time. Monthly menus are posted and sent to each child’s home.
